Robin and I have been going to marriage counseling for the past fours weeks.  Well, we started the first two weeks going together, for couples counseling, and then the last two weeks we have gone individually.  Our counselor decided it would be helpful to see us individually for a few weeks and then come back together. I’m not ashamed to say that we are in counseling.  Receiving counsel is essential for a healthy marriage (and a healthy life).  Sometimes we go blind, and we need a discerning pair of eyes to tell us what we can’t see… and help us see together how we can be better to ourselves and to each other.

After a few years of not shooting NASCAR at Charlotte I decided I wanted to cover the fall chase race at the Lowes Motor Speedway. It is a great track to shoot at and usually is an action packed race. The one thing I wasn’t expecting though was the low temperatures (40s) or the high ISO’s (6400). Due to me being an idiot I flew into the Raleigh-Durham International Airport thinking it was only 40 miles from Charlotte.

Col and I have been watching a lot of movies as of late; last night’s pick was Sicko by Michael Moore. Now, I realize that Moore’s views are quite extreme. I also realize that I had huge issues with Blood Money, calling it propaganda and other not-so-classy words because it was seriously pro-life and I am seriously pro-choice – that and the fact that I can’t stand fear mongering. However, I’ve always enjoyed Moore’s films – save for a bit of ridiculous overdoing it to make a point – I tend to agree with most of his judgments and opinions.

  I been yelling for years about the user of the Taser by the police.  It is not the deaths that happen that brother me…Well you know what I mean…  It is how the Taser is used or should I say when it is used.    The Taser should be used when the officer needs to use a level of FORCE that is close to deadly force.  He should use the Taser when using is voice or hands will not get the job done and he should use the Taser as a weapon when he is trying to avoid having to use his firearm.

Once I got it working after some frustrating, it ran perfect with no problems for a couple years until I sold it to switch to Mac.  Now I have been on Mac for about 9 months, but I do find myself missing some of what windows has to offer.

Here is a collection of poetry that I wrote for my first year Creative Writing class. Life as an Art Form I escape from the rhythms of everyday life and proceed to create my own duet with air… I’m singing to the tune that helps me believe in me, not to the one that society picks. Simplistically speaking, life is a work of art. It is unique for each artist and constantly changes. An artist will create his own masterpiece, just as an individual will create his own life.
